I am off work to go down to camp and help transport gear back from the fourth grade trip. Ben's home with me until it's preschool time (9AM), I plan to go get a free cup of coffee offer after I drop him off, then home to work on house-elfing. I leave for camp around 11:30.

We have a fundraiser for dinner tonight, and will continue to work on house-elfing.

...and the kids are on a two hour delay.

Which made my morning a bit interesting...because someone had to stay home with them.  Guess who volunteered was elected. So we are leaving around 9 to drop the youngest at the sitters and take the others to school.

Which makes me between 2 1/2-3 hours late for work.  and I still have to leave early to get the boys off the bus at the end of the day.

I do have to say, our school and the public system we are a part of very rarely ever delay school.  They rarely close for weather, and it's even rare that they delay.  I think in the seven years I've had kids in school, I think we've only delayed 3 times.  We've closed about half a dozen times. I think what happened today was it's been so warm that the road crews thought that the snow would hit the roads and melt.  I think it did that at first, but it then got well below freezing, and the roads quickly froze.  So there was no preventive salt put out, and now they're trying to catch up.  Almost every school in the area is delayed.

So, I'm home, drinking a cup of coffee, catching up on email.  I bleached my sink, started a load in the washer, and started my dishwasher, in addition to finishing up the dishes that can't be put in the dishwasher.  I also starte Tortellini Soup in the crock pot. It's amazing how much I can accomplish with an extra couple hours at home.

The boys are playing until it's time to leave.

...And counting...

I fly out tomorrow at 1:10 PM to go meet up with my PhoenixSong buddies.  I am terribly excited, and can't wait for that and the movie.

Kink is still in my neck, but it is better.  I may have to take [livejournal.com profile] sherylyn  up on the "give each other backrubs" thing.

I am almost packed, finishing up laundry and other things that have to be done before I leave. Today is clean up the piles at work.  Should be a simple day.

There are new pictures of R/T at [livejournal.com profile] caladan_dd 's journal.  Go here to view. Be warned:  The one is labelled PG-13, because Remus doesn't have a shirt on.  I do love seeing Remus get some lovin.

Not sure if I'll be on over my trip or not -- if not, y'all enjoy the GoF movie, if you go, and have a great weekend!

Oy!

Well, I went to bed late last night...

As in 2AM.

I've mentioned that I can't sleep while hubby's away, and it kicked in -- full force -- yesterday. So, I was up sorting through piles of stuff that had gotten scattered around the house. I have the family room at least in some semblance of order. I still have to dust and clean off the TV. And fold the laundry. And put the laundry away. Then the family room will be cleaned up. The dining room is clean with the exception of the baker's rack that's in there. I need to go through the stuff on it.

Then I need to tackle the kitchen.

I got to work "on time" this morning, and will probably stay close to my 8 hours. Tomorrow I'm coming in late and leaving early. Wednesday, I'm not sure yet, same with Thursday. Friday, hubby will be home, and I'll probably work my full day. A lot of the "time" I take off will depend on how much I can get done at home while trying to do the homework routine. And I will more than likely be going to hubby's friend's funeral, and I'm not sure when that is yet. And it will also depend on how this insomnia plays out.

Rita's here and dumping rain. It should move out here shortly, by the looks of the weather map. I'd say we got probably a half inch or less. It was just a nice steady rain -- no torrential downpours.
