Post Christmas wrap-up

Well, I'm back to work today. Reluctantly, I might add.  However, it is quite quiet and very nice.  I've got some stuff to get ready for the new year, and this is actually the best time to do it -- most of the staff is off, I have access to all the equipment, and I can get things done quickly.

I've done some writing while off -- I got my hpb_ficafest  piece done, and it's with aggiebell90  for a quickie beta before posting.  I'm not terribly happy with the ending and hope that maybe aggiebell90  will have some lovely suggestions to make it better.  *fingers crossed*

I also worked on my sequel to Together , which is a good thing.  I want to put up my other R/T stories, but since they're all from the same universe as Together, I don't want to put the ones  that occur after part two of Together up until after it's written and up.  It's getting closer to being done.  And I need to write my challenge piece for aibhinn 's Time Challenge.

After that, I have a short story called, Defining A Woman that I'm determined to get done in January or February, and I have another short that I need to decide is either going to take off or die altogether.  It's a sequel to Flying Without A Net. 

Then I'm going to tackle the end The Homecoming. Or decide to abandon it.  Either way, I want it done before July.  Then I'll have all my writing projects done and can start figuring out what I want to do next in regards to writing.

The hubby is having severe asthma problems -- he's never had problems when others who own cats have come into the house before, but their coats must have had a ton of cat hair on it, because he's really having issues.  We went through and did some power cleaning in hopes to help, but it's not made much of a difference yet -- it does take him a couple days to get back to normal.

We are having friends over for New Year's Eve, which is basically unheard of for us. *laughs*  We're such old fuddy-duddies and homebodies, that we rarely do anything on NYE.  We found another couple who are the same way though, and so we are hosting them and their two daughters.  It should be a good time.

Work is calling.  I came in early, so I can leave early, so I better get at it.
