Idiots at our time share - LOST OUR RESERVATION for July. I only booked it LAST JULY. They want to move us from a 2 bdroom to a 1 bedroom. With 4 kids. LAUGHED IN THEIR FACES.

Then wanted us to take 2 one bedrooms. Want 4 kids in a condo by themselves overnight?

Waiting for "their" solution.

PISSED OFF does not sum it up.

Don't mess with my FL vacation.

I agree w/Baffy! They oughta be *upgrading* you to a 3 BR or something, instead. Or heck, finding you another condo in the area at *their* expense. I mean, ok, if it were someone who'd never been there before, etc., I could see them sorta helping out, but not knocking themselves out. But y'all've been there for eons, so. ... yeah, they need to get themselves into a flurry of activity and get it FIXED *now* for y'all!!

Ooh, that must be frustrating. I know I would be ticked. And I wouldn't know what to do... Because if they've *completely* lost your reservation -- as in they have no record at all of it -- then really they're just taking your word for it. I hope things work out for you.

But really, Su, you want to go to Florida in *July* !!?? Aren't you just going to melt in the heat?

Hmmm, I'm now looking forward to *my* July/Aug vacation. sighhhh.

I have, not one, but two confirmation slips from last year - I placed the reservation in person when I paid our fees for 2006 while we were down there for 2005. They gave me a confirmation slip then and then mailed me the exact same thing a week later.

And we don't mind Florida in July - as long as we're at the beach. We did Orlando one year - and that was hard. But being on the Ocean (we're in an Ocean Front Condo), we literally only hang out at the Beach and Pool. We don't do much else but relax and play in the water. And that way, the heat isn't too bad.

Water and Sand = paradise for kids. It's all *they* want, after all.

Yeah, pretty much have them over a barrel. I just hope that they cough up something nice for the trouble.

And sand + water is more of all I want. *laughs* If I can drink my coffee watching the ocean for a week, I'm happy.

And on that same note, the kids really do just love the sand and water - we used to take a day and drive over to DisneyWorld or one of the other parks - the last year we did it, the kids were "Do we HAVE to go to Disney?!?" If I hadn't already had the tickets, we would have ditched the park. The following year, we asked them if they wanted to do a day at a park or just stay at the beach. They opted for the beach. We've not gone back since to Disney (I think this is the 3rd yr). We'll probably go back next year or year after - Ben doesn't have many memories of it, and I want him to have a few of his trip to Disney - but as of now, we tend to just take the money we'd spend on a trip to Disney and purchase season passes for all of us to the local amusement park (only 25 minutes from home). Then we go all summer there when we're not in FL. Makes a much nicer time.
