Aug. 15th, 2005 09:28 amI'm in back-to-school hell time. I absolutely hate back-to-school hell time. Although this year, I'm a bit ahead of the game, which is a good thing. All the supplies are now bought, labelled and packed in their respective new bookbags (X3), the uniforms, shoes and new belts are bought and sorted (X3), and the school papers are close to being filled out. I still have to get a book bag for the youngest for preschool, but other than that we are done...
The older three start Aug. 24th. The youngest starts Sept. 12th.
In other news, the JCAHO is at my hospital this week inspecting...Ah the joy...for those who don't speak "hospitalese", JCAHO is the body that inspects all the hospitals in the US. It's a laborious procedure, and one where I hide in my little office off the beaten path and hope they don't find me. They don't really inspect me -- I'm inspected by CAP (a national lab inspection body), so they take that as good enough. But that doesn't mean that they couldn't find me in a hallway and quiz me on safety issues. So I hide...as much as possible. They are also now "picking a patient" that is in the hospital, and tracing their records back to their admission -- so if I did any work on that patient, they may come and find me.
Like I said, I'm hiding as much as possible.
(And I really like my icon...thanks again to illiriahrising for allowing us to take and credit.)
