Maybe Wednesday will be a bit slower....
...doubt it.
I've decided my life is on an eternal fast track. And it will remain so until I get these kids out of school. *sigh*
Yesterday was tutoring and the school had their monthly skating party. It was actually a good time - I found out that one of Nick's friends' dad went to school with me in Middle School. I actually went home and pulled my old year books and had a look. Gah, you should see the pictures of me. In the spirit of elsielann (since she posted one of herself from her childhood), I should scan the pictures and post them for grins.
I also chatted with another mom about ADD and the school the kids are in. Anyway, it was a good time at the 'ol skating rink last night.
I misjudged my time yesterday at work and I was late getting the kids. Must work on getting my timing down better. Just me not realizing how long it would take for me to do a certain project.
The van's at the dealer's today getting an oil change. We have free oil changes for 2 years from our dealer with a free rental car. So, we are trying to be good auto owners and actually get it changed when we're suppose to and all that jazz. I am zipping around town in a dark blue PT Cruiser for the day.
I need to beta at some point today. I've got half of one story done (jeconais ) and 2 chapters of another (Gridley). I'm also planning on getting one of my stories edited this week and sent off to
aggiebell90 so she can beta it, and send it on to the gal she's mentoring to give her an example of how to add comments, what types of things to say, catch, etc. Anyway, that's what's up on the betaing world.
PT Cruiser
Oh, I took the car anyway. I've wanted to try out a PT Cruiser ever since they came out, and that is half the fun of rental cars.
So I'm curious as to what you think of the cruiser? I was not that excited. In particular I found it had very poor sightlines out the back. The rear window was small, and the pillars on either side of the back window were very big, which made it hard to see behind. Could be just because of the fabric roof and the up/down mechanism. I also thought it was poor on gas.
Looked good, though.
Now, get back to work. No, not that work, finish up WKGQ already! :-)

Re: PT Cruiser
And a convertible? In February? Where you live? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! The image of you driving around with the top down in February bundled up is quite humourous.
*grin*
My hubby and I had talked of getting a Cruiser once we were back into cars (we currently have 2 vans), but we probably won't now. Neither one of us was impressed.
Have a great day, Art!

Five full-sized adults were able to fit in it without too much trouble (although Chele probably wouldn't have wanted to sit in that center rear seat for a long trip ;-)), and my stars! I never knew cars could be so "smart"!! LOL!! It had memory seats, so it would scoot my seat back and raise the steering wheel for me to get in/out, and when you put it in reverse, the mirrors automatically moved to let you see better behind you, and then went back to "normal" for when you put it in drive. And the lights and windshield wipers could be set to "auto" and they'd just work for you when you needed 'em -- tunnels, parking garage -- lights came on. Little rain on the windshield, wipers came on. It was definitely a "spoil you" type of car ;-) See if they'll let you have one next time! LOL!!
That's really great that you get free oil changes with your van, though -- that's a great "feature" for dealerships to do! :-)
