Here are the next two drabbles. Completely unbeta'd, so all errors are mine and mine alone. They are each 100 words exactly. *is proud*
aggiebell90 : Neville with or without Gran
Note: This is set at the start of seventh year.
bringandfly : Sirius chatting with his cousin about the looks he's seen in Order meetings
There are still two up for grabs. Click here to see the original post. To see the first six drabbles, go here.
Mammogram went well - no follow-up tests today, which is a switch. So I think decaffing myself before hand does really help my chances of not having "spots".
Leaving work shortly. Whoo-Hoo!

The elderly woman watched her grandson board the train. When did he grow up and become a man? she thought. He turned and smiled, giving her a small wave. She smiled back, watching him disappear into the car.
He was just like his father, yet nothing like him. He looked like Alice, yet vaguely resembled Frank. His magic was weak, but growing stronger with his own wand. He was loyal and brave like his parents – the fight at the Department of Mysteries had proved that.
Turning to leave, she realized he really was a true Gryffindor. Just like his father.

“Nyphadora, darling, may I have a word,” Sirius said in his best pompous voice.
“Don’t call me that, git,” Tonks said, glaring at her cousin. “Wotcher want?"
Sirius led her down the hall to the library. Securing the door and casting a silencing charm, he asked, “I want to know when you’re going to stop making goo-goo eyes at Moony and actually make a move?"
“Wha-?” Tonks sputtered, turning a nice shade of fuchsia (matching her hair).
“I want to know when you plan to snog the werewolf senseless?” Sirius repeated, grinning devilishly. “I can tell you both want to."

Date: 2006-04-29 04:46 am (UTC)And Gran's thoughts on Neville really hit the spot!
Good news on the Mammogram. I don't think they do them routinely until 55 over here and I'm not in a risk group so I won't be having the experience for another decade yet.

Date: 2006-04-30 12:21 pm (UTC)And on the mammograms, they usually do a baseline sometime between age 35-40, then every year after 40.
If you have a history of Breast Cancer, it is slightly different. For me, I don't have a health history (since I'm adopted and my birthmom has been very quiet), so I was monitored a bit closer, but not as close as having a history of BC.

Date: 2006-04-30 02:49 pm (UTC)Since a lot of us are so fond of drabbles and shorts Antonia and I, as well as I think Katieay and Aggiebell were thinking fo setting up a small community in which to bounce ideas around and do drabbles. Set a few challenges. Just generally a place where we can be sure to get good, honest, kind but directional feedback for our work. We were wondering if you'd be interested?
